Il volume e' ricco di foto in bianco e nero che ripercorrono la storia dello sviluppo del Sabre (versioni A-E-F-H, sono esclusi biposto e modelli "a muso lungo" quali il K) e le principali tappe del suo utilizzo bellico (guerra di Corea). Si tratta di una disanima abbastanza tecnica con qualche disegno e foto di dettaglio di interni e armamento. Purtroppo se dal punto di vista storico e di cultura aeronautica il volume e' apprezzabile, lo e' di meno per quanto riguarda l'utilizzo come fonte di riferimento per il modellista. Non sono presenti profili o planimetrie in scala e a parte 4 pagine tutto e stampato in bianco e nero. Ora, capisco che all'inizio degli anni 50 le foto a colori non fossero cosi' diffuse, ma trattandosi di aerei militari americani il materiale disponibile (di fronte governativa o meno) dovrebbe essere abbastanza vasto.
In ogni caso un ottima guida alla storia della progettazione, sviluppo, utilizzo del primo jet americano moderno (con i dovuti riferimenti al travaso di tecnologia tedesca, vedi Me 262, che tanto ha influito sulla progettazione di tutti i primi aerei a reazione).
